JAMES BENHAM is the co-founder and CEO of JBK, a multinational technology and consulting company he has bootstrapped for more than 20 years. From his college dorm room to more than 280 employees across the United States, Argentina, and South Africa, he has led JBK in building industry-leading software for the world's largest insurance companies.

James is also the co-founder of Terra, a cloud-based claims management software platform that improves claim outcomes for providers and consumers of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance.

James is the creator and co-host of the top-rated InsurTech Geek Podcast, where he interviews leading industry experts from some of the world's most recognized companies.

A passionate bootstrapped entrepreneur, James is the bestselling author of Be Your Own VC: 10 Bootstrapping Principles to Generate Cash and Keep Control, his debut book. In Be Your Own VC, James shares how bootstrapping led his technology company to a multimillion-dollar exit while giving him the freedom to build what he loves.

James is a sought-after consultant and speaker at the forefront of innovation in the insurance industry. His bold ideas and passion for technology have earned him keynote speaking opportunities on more than 400 conference stages, including The Future of Insurance USA and TEDx.

James has served as an elected city councilman, an adjunct professor at Texas A&M University, and currently serves the State of Texas as a Regent on the governing board of Texas Southern University.

Through his high-energy presentations and practical strategies, he helps leaders improve productivity, strengthen decision-making, and reduce workplace overwhelm.

Bob is the author of Overcoming Overwhelm, Figure It Out, What's Your 20?, and numerous other books, videos, courses, and curricula focused on leadership, productivity, and workforce development.

Bob has written or contributed to more than 300 articles for a wide variety of publications and is a frequent guest on radio and television programs across the United States.

His media credits include CNN, CNBC, The Huffington Post, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Detroit Free Press, The Florida Sentinel, The Denver Post, The Providence Journal, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Entrepreneur, Money, and Women's Wear Daily. He has also written monthly columns for both retailers and Realtors.

In addition to his writing and speaking, Bob has served as a special advisor to the American Productivity and Quality Center.
